The Deputy Chairman of the Russia’s Investigative Committee opened a criminal case into Nickolay Mamchur, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs and the Chief of the MIA Criminal Investigation Division in Yakutia, as reported by the Criminal Investigation Division.
The case is opened for an offence under Part 1 Article 30 of the Russia’s Criminal Code, Part 1 Article 131 («assault with attempt to rape») and Part 1 Article 132 («violent sexual acts»).
As reported by the Criminal Investigation Division, during the night of April 17 Nickolay Mamchur having been under the influence of alcohol called the policewoman to his office in the Criminal Investigation Division, while she was carrying her security-related duties. When she came, the Deputy Minister performed violent sexual acts and assaulted her with attempt to rape.
The MIA Criminal Investigation Division of the Russia’s Investigative Committee in Yakutia is mandated to conduct the investigation of the criminal case.
