Table tennis players from South Korea received gold in women’s and junior’s singles, doubles, and mixed doubles at the 6th Children of Asia International Sports Games.
In total, 52 athletes from 16 countries took part in the table tennis competition.
“We had powerful opponents but luck favoured us. Our children strove to win and achieved high results. The competitions were held in high level. The athletes were training hard so we haven’t managed to get to know the town yet. I suppose we’ll find time to experience your local cultural programme now”, – Kim Sanghak Cheon Dongwon, the head coach of the South Korea team, mentioned.
The 14-years Hengyu Wu took the first place in the singles. “The final was intense as I competed with my friend Cho Dasong. I treat him as an excellent player, we train and play together every time. Now we are taking a rest and ready to get to know the town and its residents”, – the champion said.
