So far, Far East makes only 60% of desired food products. Yury Trutnev, the Presidential Envoy in the Far East, said it yesterday at the meeting in Yujno-Sakhalinsk.
“In such a case, the production of cereal crops, milk, meat and vegetables could and should be developed here”, – the Envoy said.
Yury Trutnev also gave examples of positive changes in the region.
“Following the instructions of the President, 13 priority development areas were created, 13 investment projects were supported, and 9 projects were financed by the Fund on Far East Development. The free zone of Vladivostok was opened. Over 270 projects will be realized by described methods, and it means that 270 new businesses will operate in the Far East”, – he highlighted.
“The total investment volume is already estimated at over 1 trillion roubles. Some 65 thousand workspaces are expected to get”, – Trutnev stated.
According to him, 44 food manufacturing facilities are planned to be constructed in the region with a total investment of 86 billion roubles, 15 facilities are scheduled to be operational by the end of next year.
