Sheikh Al-Sabah: Children of Asia Games have a great future


Sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, current president of Olympic Council of Asia, on behalf of National Olympic Committees of Asia expressed gratitude to Yakutia for the 6th Children of Asia International Games.

President of the CAISG International Committee Dmitry Glushko and its Secretary General Sergey Khatylykov told members of the XXXV General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia about the Children of Asia Games in Da Nang (Vietnam).

The CAISG representatives reported that this year 43 teams from 36 countries participated in Games. Teams included champions and prize winners of Asian and World youth competitions. The athlete from Kyrgyzstan competed in CAISG and then made a mark at Olympic Games in Rio.

“Children of Asia Games go ahead. The record number of athletes took part in these competitions in 2016. Next time we plan to host Winter Children of Asia Games. This way Games have a great future”, – sheikh Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah, president of Olympic Council of Asia, said.

The General Assembly’s members were invited to the 7th Children of Asia Games to take place in Ulan Bator in Mongolia in 2020.
